AZ Attorney General Terry Goddard says he's willing to consider tax increases by closing "loopholes" to help balance the state's budget.
Goddard stated that position while answering questions from reporters Monday during a Phoenix news conference to kick off his campaign for governor.

Goddard said the state must "live with the fallout" from the budget proposed by Republican Gov. Jan Brewer and approved by the Republican-led Legislature.
He listed goals of improving public education, diversifying the state's economy and promoting bipartisan cooperation within state government.
The two-term attorney general is a former Phoenix mayor. He unsuccessfully ran twice for governor in the 1990s.
