Bill to criminalize presence of illegal immigrants in Arizona

The proposal would make Arizona the only state to criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants through an expansion of its trespassing law. It also would require police to try to determine people's immigration status when there's reasonable suspicion they are in the country illegally.

Ok, first off, our police are  already overworked. Now we will add the duties of racial profiling and rounding up Mexicans like dogs headed for the pound. Is the State ready to pay for more officers and overtime? The won't pay for Childcare or Education. But then we're only American Citizens right? OH OH OH that's right!!! The folks who need help with Childcare are poor! I was thinking for a minute that they mattered..my bad. Now check out the following outtake.

First-offense trespassing by an illegal immigrant would be a top-tier misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail. Subsequent violations would be mid-tier felonies that would carry a penalty of one-and-a-half to three years in prison.

Now we fill up those empty prisons that  are going unused because they are not filled with pot smokers and meth users right? I mean we wouldn't waste prison space on people better off in a good  rehab right? Tax payers don't mind paying room and board for someone whom I'm willing to bet,  would be more than happy to have a job and certainly would be willing to pay taxes if given the chance, right? This legislation is no good for anyone. You can read the rest of the story here. I'd like to hear your opinion. Thank you.
